Worth the sacrifice: MBFJG on A.I.

Last night My BoyFriend Josh Groban appeared on American Idol.

American Idol? What?

I should end our relationship for this offense, however, last night's show was a big fundraising event so, I'm letting it slide. Also, MBFJG rarely - if ever - appears on network television, so I hate to pass up the opportunity to watch him sing.

However, we do have a pretty strict ban on reality television on our house. Since the people on the shows make us generally uncomfortable, we tend to avoid them at all costs. I knew Brian wouldn't make an exception this time because not only does he hate reality TV, he doesn't like my faux relationship with MBFJG ("he's so dorky looking"). And I didn't want to have to listen to all that crap American Idol singing - and the judges cheesy banter - just to steal a few minutes with my other man.

Thankfully, our DVR saved the day and I was able to watch Josh's performance. It was the right decision. He performed one of my favorites, "You Raise Me Up" with the The African Children's Choir, after which they got a two-minute-long standing ovation from the crowd at the Disney Concert Hall. Amen, brother. I still love you.
